How to take your measurements

Use a flexible tailor's tape measure, not a rigid ruler

Tips for choosing the right size

Between two sizes? Always take the larger size. Our bodysuits have firm compression — a size too small is uncomfortable and can cut off circulation.

Seamless Sculpt (flagship product) — true to size. Take your usual size. The 81% nylon / 19% spandex fabric offers strong compression without restricting movement.

Everyday Comfort — true to size, lighter compression. Ideal if you're wearing a bodysuit for the first time or prefer daily comfort over strong compression.

Plunge Backless — runs slightly small. If you're between S and M, take the M. The backless design requires a more fitted cut to stay in place.

Large bust (D+)? Let your hip measurements guide you rather than your bust for open bust bodysuits — you can always wear your favorite bra underneath.

Frequently asked questions about sizes
No. Our nylon/spandex fabric is treated to retain its shape. Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C. Avoid tumble drying to preserve its elasticity in the long term.
When choosing shapewear bodysuits, always go by your largest measurement — in this case, your hips (95 cm = size M). The stretchy fabric will adapt to your slimmer waist. Choosing a size that’s too small around the waist can create an uncomfortable tightening effect around the hips.

Our sizes are based on Shapebodyluxe's own centimetre-based size guide, tailored to South African body types. Rather than relying on your usual European or US sizes, use our size calculator and the measurements above for the best fit.
Our bodysuits are designed to fit body types ranging from 1.55m to 1.80m. If you are taller than 1.80m, we recommend choosing a size larger than your usual size to ensure a comfortable inseam.
